June was like a really under cooked vegetable - steaming on both ends and cold in the middle. If these first couple of days of July are any indication, it could be a hotty this summer.
It's been a whirlwind around the Egoff household the last couple of weeks - actually since we got back from holidays. Brian and I drove to Myrtle Beach for a few days of golfing, sun, surf and seafood. In my 14 trips to "The Grand Strand" I have never seen wind and waves like that. It was nice to get away mind you.
Happy New Year to one and to all. 2017 is done and 2018 is here. Wow. It was an amazing ride. The people, the places, the events that shaped our lives. Not just locally, but events from around the world both positive and benevolent, but also those times, places and people that were not as positive and benevolent as we would prefer them to be.
It's December. I'm already seeing people in panic mode and there is still over three weeks until Santa comes. I've got most of my shopping done and judging from the pile of stuff in Brian's closet I'm thinking he's pretty well done too.
As the cool winds blow in, it reminds us to start getting out the sweaters and jackets, and summer is coming to a close. We really enjoy all the sunshine we can, and have enjoyed outdoor walks and golf, every week.
As the warmer weather comes in, some days nicer then others, I realize how much we need to get out into the beautiful nature. Hello everyone and welcome to August. So far it's been a pretty wet summer with temperatures below normal. However that hasn't stopped our garden from growing some absolutely incredible food.
