Brian’s Corner – Feb 2017

2017 is just cruising along.  I’m barely getting over the Christmas Season and it’s already February.  On the bright side, the days are getting longer.  On the other hand, we’re not even at Ground Hog Day yet so that means we’re looking at least another 6-weeks of the cold weather.  Not that there’s a whole lot to complain about this winter -at least in southern Ontario.  It’s been a mild – that’s for sure.

February means Karen’s birthday, Valentine’s Day and our Anniversary all in the next couple of weeks.  Lots of dancing, fancy meals (at home as well as out), flowers, gifts, and, even though she says, “No, No, No!”, there will be chocolates from Reid’s on next month’s Visa statement. In case anyone wonders or cares, Karen’s birthday marks the half-way point from the first day of winter to the first day of spring.  Still a long way to go.

The other day I blended some Oscar’s “Live Lung and Prosper” Herbal Tincture.  It’s been a very popular item this winter and unfortunately, we are Out of Stock until the first week of March.  I did blend extra Herbs this time and I’m using the extra to make tea.  It’s a work in progress, but with a little honey it doesn’t taste that bad.  I think it needs some extra Peppermint and less Oregano.  One thing’s for sure – it worked very well at clearing out the lungs.  I haven’t decided if I want to start making teas commercially, but if anyone is interested in trying Live Lung and Prosper Tea let me know and I’ll certainly mix you up a batch.  I don’t even know what I would charge, but it would be reasonable.
