Happy Thanksgiving. I hope your dinner was as good as ours was. As usual we have the “Orphans” for dinner – my mother-in-law Eleanor, my step-daughter Cynthia and her boyfriend and my dear brother Christopher. I cooked a very nice 7 lb chicken that we bought from a country farm in Bloomingdale. Karen touched on the small towns around here and I agree that we still have that country charm even though we’re only an hour from Toronto. We cooked potatoes and pumpkin on the barbeque. Karen made a nice slaw and we all ate far, far too much. It was another awesome Thanksgiving Celebration. And, I am in gratitude for so many things today, including a beautiful, patient and loving wife, a great family, a great life and so many other things that I may take for granted most of the time but would like to pay homage to with these few words.
