- There was a time, not too long ago actually, when Karen and I would go out for dinner or to a house party or a play, walk in the park, shake hands with strangers, go to the mall or sit on a stool in a brew-pub and enjoy a paddle of their latest creations. Now, I’m out of beer and hoarding what little toilet paper we have, washing my hands until they’re raw and when I get home after being out for groceries – which now means whatever is on the shelves, we quarantine everything for 3-days, spray it all with acidic water (ph 2.5), then I throw out my gloves and mask, strip down while Karen sprays me down – including the soles of my feet and then it’s straight to the shower for as long and as hot as I can take it. Then we spray all the doors, including the car, inside and out and then it doesn’t move for another 10-14 days. At this rate, I’ve got enough gas in my tank for 4-years.
- At least the weather has been nice. For those of us who are lucky enough to own a house on a nice sized (by today’s standards) urban lot it has been nice to be able to enjoy the sunshine that we’ve had until the last couple of days. We’ve been able to almost completely train our 8-month old kitten to be outside without our overview for longer and longer periods of time. He has learned to make occasional appearances so we know he’s around and he’s learning to come in on his own when it gets too windy or starts to rain or he’s tired and hungry.
- Don’t you love that schools are closed but the liquor store is still open? Probably a lot of wine sales for mothers trapped with 3 pre-adolescent kids.
Until Next Time,
Brian
