It's been a whirlwind around the Egoff household the last couple of weeks - actually since we got back from holidays. Brian and I drove to Myrtle Beach for a few days of golfing, sun, surf and seafood. In my 14 trips to "The Grand Strand" I have never seen wind and waves like that. It was nice to get away mind you.
That hot, humid weather I was looking forward to never really seemed to appear. Instead we had cold mornings and warm afternoons, a lot of rain and just like that, I'm back to work on Tuesday driving my school bus up and down the roads between Roseville and Ayr loaded with precious cargo.
Ah August. Hot and humid outside, air-conditioned inside. The month my back loves the most, the month a golf ball travels the farthest and the month that a gin and tonic tastes the best.
