I realize how much we need to get out into the beautiful nature.
Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.
– Thomas Jefferson
Nothing is more important than reconnecting with your bliss. Nothing is as rich. Nothing is more real.
– Deepak Chopra
June is here, and as we tend to our gardens – in our yard, and our garden of thoughts, I reflect on the quote above. Life is a garden of opportunities, like the garden we plant our seeds and small plants we started indoors, or from a nursery.
All the seeds we plant in the garden, do not come up. The same is true for all the thoughts and ideas that we have. Some things are not meant to grow whether it’s a tomato plant or a relationship. That is the time, we need to choose to let go. Oh, that is not always easy for me, (know what I mean)? Sometimes I dig in my heals, and say, I can do it all. I can change things so it will work, when something is not coming to fruition, they way I wanted. Universe! What are you doing? Why didn’t things go like I planned?
Well, sometimes we take on too much. Anyone else relate? We feel like superwomen and supermen. The truth is, we can only do so much. Take a breathe, take a few, and slowly re-awaken what your soul needs on your path. This is something I am learning to do more. I am great at giving the advice for others, and now I’m taking it in for me. Deeply releasing the resistance, and see the world through the lens of unconditional acceptance and love. When I ask each day, “Let me be wise, joyful, loving and compassionate today. Let me flexible like a branch of a willow tree in a wind. I accept who I am and the fact that I have limitations. It is okay to not always win at all my mind wishes too. I accept change, as
change shows that I am growing!!” That is a good thing.
I am learning to make more enlightened choices every day.
Gardener’s note:
After a good rain, which we have had late May, take some time, get on the old gardening outfit, and dig out the weeds
when ground is moist it’s so much easier. I like a early morning garden, even for 30 minutes. It is so grounding. A quick shower afterwards, and I feel renewed. Brian is using garden cloth I bought last year to clean up areas in between our sage and lavender plants. I think it is a great way to cut down on the weeds in our garden. We add small gravel on top or lots of mulch.
Find ways to make your life easier, look at ideas on line. Change is good.
Less struggles equals more joy.
Namaste,
Karen
